【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandarddescribesthegeneralrequirementsforexplosionisolationsystems.Anexplosionisolationsystemisaprotectivesystem,whichpreventsanexplosionpressurewaveandaflameoronlyaflamefrompropagatingviaconnectingpipesorductsintootherpartsofapparatusorplantareas.ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesmethodsforevaluatingtheefficacyofthevariousexplosionisolationsystems,andmethodsforevaluatingdesigntoolsforsuchexplosionisolationsystemswhenapplyingtheseinpractice.ThisEuropeanStandardalsosetsoutthecriteriaforalternativetestmethodsandinterpretationmeanstovalidatetheefficacyofexplosionisolations.Itcoverse.g.:a)generalrequirementsfortheexplosionisolationcomponentsb)evaluatingtheeffectivenessofanexplosionisolationsystemc)evaluatingdesigntoolsforexplosionisolationsystemsThisEuropeanStandardisapplicableonlytotheuseofexplosionisolationsystemsthatareintendedforavoidingexplosionpropagationbetweeninterconnectedenclosures,inwhichanexplosionmayresultasaconsequenceofignitionofanexplosivemixturese.g.,dust-airmixtures,gas-(vapour-)airmixtures,dust-,gas-(vapour-)airmixturesandmists.Ingeneralexplosionisolationsystemsarenotdesignedtopreventthetransmissionoffireorburningpowdereitherofwhichcaninitiateanexplosionindownstreamplantitems.Itisnecessarytotakethissituationintoaccountinriskassessments.ThisEuropeanStandardisonlyapplicableforgasanddustexplosionsofchemicallystablesubstancesandmixturesofthese(flamepropagatingatsubsonicvelocity).ThisEuropeanStandardisnotapplicableforexplosionsofmaterialslistedbelow,orformixturescontainingsomeofthosematerials:i)chemicallyunstablesubstancesthatareliabletodecomposeii)explosivesubstancesiii)pyrotechnicsubstancesThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotcoverflamearresters.ForthesedevicesrefertoEN12874
